After learning some navigation,

After learning some navigation, a Night Nav ‘treasure hunt’ is the next step on real roads to “call the route” to a driver. You get two hours to plot the route (on a table, just like home!) and also drive 20 miles round it. The Route Instructions are about 20 map references on our local Map OS LandRanger 162, perhaps with a few Spot Heights to confirm the shortest distance between the plots. On the correct road, you’ll start to see the codeboard Route Checks (treasures!) but don’t expect them at the exact references you’ve plotted.
No extra car insurance is needed, for this is deliberately within Social, Domestic and Pleasure motoring at a genuine average speed of 10 mph from Start to Finish.

Sporting Trials are a development of Car Trials, and differ by virtue of both the terrain used and the highly specialised nature of the cars. The venues used offer a more arduous terrain than those used by Car Trials, the hills climbed by Sporting Trials are often too steep or slippery even to walk up.

This unique rally will once again by entirely based around the grass fields on the Clerks estate.
The venue is long established pastureland which has proved fairly durable and does not cut up too
much. We recommend the fitting of underbody protection for the more enthusiastic competitors.
For 2025 the tyre restriction to preserve the venue has been lifted slightly allowing for ‘summer’
road pattern tyres or those available on List R.

Ross and District Motor Sports club are running a special 75th celebration event. Saturday 28th June 2025.
This is a ticketed event so please fill out your details and submit the form. We are limited to just 120 tickets. So don’t delay! This is FIRST COME FIRST SERVED TICKETS SYSTEM.

There is a two course meal, guest speaker, live music and good reminiscence of 75 years of the motor club. Tickets are £35 per person.

The run has no competitive element and is an opportunity for you to drive your classic car through picturesque parts of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. The total route distance is about 120 miles.
The start is at The Larruperz Centre, Grammar School Close, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 7QD Tea/coffee and pastries are included.
The day has been designed for two people; additional passengers are welcome and may be carried (for an additional fee). You will be given an easy-to-follow tulip road book to take you along our carefully designed meandering route, to a stop for tea/coffee and biscuits (included in entry fee) at a nearby village hall. Then the roads will lead you through the classic Herefordshire and Worcestershire lanes for a light lunch halt (included in entry fee) near Malvern. After lunch the route continues through Worcestershire and Herefordshire heading to the finish at Ledbury Rugby Club, Ross Road, Ledbury, Herefordshire, HR8 2LP for a hot two course buffet meal (included in entry fee).
There are lots of beautiful views along the route with many places of interest. If you check the pictures at the back of the Road Book, you can mark them off as you identify them on your way round. The run is designed to show you some wonderful scenery, while also allowing you to see some other interesting vehicles and talk to their owners.

This Navex (Navigational Exercise) is

This Navex (Navigational Exercise) is a Scatter which is a small motorsport event held on public roads. The two Competitors (Driver and Navigator) will plot 20 locations on the map at the start of the event. At each of these locations can be found an answer to a question provided on a clue sheet. Competitors visit as many locations as they wish, in any order, following a route of their choice. A maximum score will be achieved if 15 locations are visited with correct answers provided from each within the overall time limit. The event will cover approximately 60 miles and take about 3 hours (2 hours on the road). Virtually any standard car is suitable.

Regulations for the Hatsford Targa
Event Details
Regulations for the Hatsford Targa Road Rally will be available here on Tuesday 25th June.
We will be offering an event based on “same as usual”. If it isn’t broken, we won’t be trying to fix it! However, we always learn from previous years’ Hatsford Targas and other events too. We hope that you will continue to support us in offering real grass-roots motor sport.
There will be approximately 32 miles of competitive route, split into 6 tests.
Once the regs have been published, please make sure that you read the section on tyres (ASR 11). These will be the same as in previous Hatsford Targas. Follow the link (which will be shown here) to the MTC1 Entry System.
Entries will open at 1900 on Tuesday 2nd July at 1900.
There will be an Interclub event for championship contenders and others with Interclub Competition Licences. There will also be a Clubman event which is for those with only RS Clubman Competition Licences and who are members of one of the invited Clubs.
Please complete entries IN FULL – no blanks or tba’s please, or they will not be accepted. ASR 12.
If your acknowledged entry number is more than 60, please do not pay until asked to do so by the organising Club. ASR 13.
