After practising some navigation at home in the warmth of your kitchen or dining table, this is the next step to getting out on the roads in real life.  You’ll have 2 hours to plot the route and drive 20 miles.  The plotting will be about 25 to 30 map references on the local Map 162.  This accurate plotting will give you the route, and then you have to follow that route on the road.  Along the route, you will hopefully see about 30 codeboards.  These codeboards are placed along the correct route and are not hidden – though some may be quite low around the grass triangles.
As the event is timed at a genuine 10mph, it is designated a Treasure Hunt so no extra insurance should be required.  The entry fee is just £7 to cover the cost of the permit.  The regs and entry form are on the club website.  Please print off and complete the entry form and bring it (and the £7 cash) to the event start.  BEFORE Wednesday 27th, please let me know if you will be entering so that I can have enough paperwork ready.
